Moda

Dear Reader,

This past weekend, Moda put on its first-ever fashion show at Liquid featuring designers from the UW-Madison campus and local downtown area. The show was a smashing success and brought in approximately 430 students and locals to watch the collaboration. Special thanks to PR and Outreach Director Emma Goshin, Editorial Director Elise Wilson and Programming and Events Coordinator Ella Cunz for all of their hard work on the show, as well as the designers, retailers, models and volunteers for the event.

For those who weren’t able to attend, here is a quick recap of how the fashion show played out. The show kicked off at 9:00 p.m. with a video introduction and words from Jessica Tenenbaum, Creative Director, Emma, Elise and Ella. From there, the first half of the show featured pieces from seven talented student designers at UW-Madison. Here are photos and a video of their amazing pieces:

The show's second half featured retailer Upshift Swap Shop and the final walk to wrap-up the event. At 10 p.m., performer DROELOE took to the stage.

The fashion show was an amazing opportunity to increase Moda’s presence on campus and get members in and outside of the Moda community involved. The fashion show is one of many events that Moda has planned for the last month of the semester. As always, stay tuned on Moda’s website, Instagram and TikTok for more footage from the fashion show and information about what’s coming next.

Warmly,
